Google+ up to 250m users, will soon let you import Facebook posts too

At Google I/O developer conference this week, there have been quite a few Google+ updates but today two stuck out the most to me. First of all, Google gave an official update to how many registered users the social network now has. Since April of this year, Google+ has grown 70 million users, up to 250 million total. That is a huge increase in just a few months.

Facebook to start asking all users to verify their phone numbers

In true Facebook fashion, they are trying to get every possible bit of information from it’s 900+ million users. The next step will be a new message that will sit atop of your news feed, starting soon, and some are already seeing it. The new message will ask you to “stay in control of your account” and send you over to the Facebook Security page - where you can verify your mobile number with the social giant.
